Hume AI (Octave TTS)
Expressive Octave TTS from New York-based Hume AI; self-serve plan prices are no longer published, as Hume now focuses on voice AI evaluation.
Octave 1 and Octave 2 are still documented as billed by characters across subscriptions from Free to Enterprise, with Free and Starter limited to non-commercial use, but the rates are no longer published because hume.ai/pricing now covers only the VoiceEQ evaluation platform. Budgeting therefore means asking for a quote. No DPA or EU data residency is documented either, which puts it at a disadvantage against vendors with published prices.

Pricing
No calculated bill is available. Ask the vendor for a quote for your workload. How to read these estimates.
No public price; sold through annual contracts.
As of October 2026 hume.ai/pricing covers only the VoiceEQ evaluation platform and the Octave product pages redirect to the home page. Hume's developer docs still describe Octave (Octave 1 and Octave 2) as billed by characters on Free, Starter, Creator, Pro, Scale, Business and Enterprise subscriptions, with Free and Starter non-commercial and extra usage at a fixed rate per 1,000 characters, but they link to the pricing page for numbers, which no longer lists them. Treat as quote-only until Hume republishes prices.
