The rate is $4.50 per 1,000 transactions for both base map tiles and search after 5,000 free of each per month, with one transaction covering 15 tile requests. That geocoding price is high next to Amazon Location Service ($0.50) or HERE ($0.88), and volume discounts from 100,000 transactions a month go through sales.

Gen2 pricing: Base Map Tiles $4.50 per 1,000 transactions after 5,000 free, where 1 transaction = 15 tile requests, so one ~15-tile web map load is treated as one transaction. Search (geocoding) $4.50 per 1,000 after 5,000 free. Rates from the Azure retail price list (same in all regions); Microsoft says volume discounts start at 100,000 transactions/month via sales, not public. Accounts can be created in an EU geography (West/North Europe) so requests are processed in the EU. Caching and storage of results are governed by Microsoft's Product Terms for Azure Maps (unverified whether permanent geocode storage is permitted). DPA via Microsoft Products and Services DPA.
