Built for small web apps and side projects that can live with shared CPU in exchange for a very low price. Each server includes 20 TB of traffic and overage is $1.20/TB, so egress costs a small fraction of hyperscaler rates. The trade-offs are oversubscribed vCPUs that slow sustained CPU-heavy work, a June 2026 rise of about 33–38%, and Hetzner's page showing the line as currently not available when checked, so new orders may have to wait.

Cost-optimised CX line (shared Intel/AMD vCPUs, 2 GB per vCPU), Germany/Finland, Hetzner's USD prices including the primary IPv4 ($0.60/month) and 40–320 GB disk. 20 TB of traffic per server; overage $1.20/TB. Shared vCPUs are oversubscribed, so sustained CPU-heavy workloads get less than a dedicated vCPU; most web apps don't notice. Prices rose ~33–38% on 15 June 2026 (CX23 was €3.99). Hetzner's page showed the line as "currently not available" on the day of checking, so new orders may have to wait. The Arm CAX line costs about the same.
