Google's phone sign-in for Firebase Auth / Identity Platform, billed per SMS sent; needs the Blaze pay-as-you-go plan.
Apps already built on Firebase or Google Cloud get phone sign-in without a separate vendor, paying $0.01 per SMS sent to the US or Canada. The first 10 SMS each day are free. Using it means moving to the Blaze pay-as-you-go plan, and Identity Platform adds a per-MAU charge above 50k users, from $0.0055 down to $0.0025, which is not counted in the per-SMS figure. No EU data residency is offered.
