Free authoritative DNS hosting managed through the Hetzner Console and Cloud API.
A natural add-on for Hetzner customers, with zones hosted free of charge and no query metering. The limits are 25 zones per account by default (raised on request) and 500 records per zone. Management moved to Hetzner Console and the Cloud API after the old DNS Console shut down in May 2026, and as a German company with an online DPA and EU data residency it suits buyers who want EU jurisdiction.

Hetzner states "We do not charge for our DNS zones." The default limit is 25 zones across all projects; support raises it on request. DNS moved from the old DNS Console to Hetzner Console (old console shut down in May 2026); the API is now part of the Hetzner Cloud API. Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen. Hetzner documents EU-only processing for non-cloud products and its own customer data. DPA can be concluded online at accounts.hetzner.com.
