North America/Europe first-tier rates. Other regions and committed-use discounts differ.
Provider types (Edge platform, Delivery-focused CDN) group services by what they include, not by price. Hover a type for its definition, or see how we assign them.
Need EU residency? Turn on the EU filter to pick a plan that includes it, which may cost more. “EU plan available” alone does not mean the price shown includes residency. Shared links save your inputs and filters, but prices can change.
Looking for a European-owned provider? See European CDN providers.

CDN pricing explained
What drives the bill
Egress per GB usually dominates. List rates run from nothing (flat-rate plans) to several cents per GB, and at 20 TB a month that difference is thousands of dollars a year. Some vendors also charge per 10,000 requests, which matters for sites with many small files and API traffic.
Costs the calculator leaves out
- Regional pricing. Traffic served in Asia, South America, Africa and Oceania often costs 2–5× more than in North America and Europe.
- Add-ons such as WAF, bot management, image optimization, edge functions and log streaming, which are frequently billed separately.
- Acceptable-use terms. Flat-rate plans may limit video and large file downloads, so check before you move heavy media.
- Minimum monthly fees and committed-use contracts. They lower the per-GB rate but lock in spend.
When paying more makes sense
Enterprise CDNs can be worth the price for managed WAF rules, large traffic spikes, strict SLAs or edge compute. For static assets and media, test a cheaper provider’s cache hit rate and delivery speed in the regions you serve. You can often try a second CDN on a test hostname before moving production traffic.
